ASSET Initiative Executive Management Team
The Arkansas EPSCoR Executive Management Team is headed by Program Director, Dr. Gail McClure who serves as the PI for the Arkansas ASSET Initiative RII.
Dr. McClure is responsible for overall program management and directs all outreach and oversight of professional development efforts. Dr. Carole Cramer (ccramer@astate.edu), P3 Center Director, Dr. Vasundara Varadan (vvvesm@uark.edu), GREEN Center Director and Dr. Alan Mantooth (mantooth@uark.edu), VICTER Center Director, serve as Co-PIs and Technical Leaders.
The Central Management team also employes five campus administrators to assist in inter-university collaborations, reporting and strategic planning related to the project. Dr. Tim Atkinson (University of Central Arkansas), Dr. Mary Benjamin (University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff), Dr. Dennis Brewer (University of Arkansas), Dr. Michael Dockter (Arkansas State University) and Dr. Patrick Pellicane (University of Arkansas at Little Rock) work to ensure project implementation and information flow between campuses and the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority.
The Executive Management Team receives the support of an External Advisory Board (PDF) and three Technical Advisory Committees specific to the two research focal areas: bioproduction and solar energy research.
State Science Advisory Committee
The State Science Advisory Committee is an advisory committee to the Board of the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority, making recommendations for strategies, research focal areas and partnerships that will benefit the state of Arkansas, help accomplish the mission of the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority and align with the goals of targeted federal sponsors.
