Arkansas Space Grant Consortium
Provides Starter Grants to Colleges
The Arkansas Space Grant Consortium provides starter grants to the member colleges and universities in Arkansas, as well as to K-12 programs and teachers. The Consortium has assisted over 250 faculty and 400 college students through focused research projects. It has demonstrated science and technology to more than 5,000 K-12 students via the outreach efforts in which each awardee is required to participate.
Further benefit to Arkansas is seen in the results of faculty/student participation in the project. Arkansas faculty have brought in over $3 million in NASA and other aerospace funding using the contacts and know-how resulting directly from the research projects.
The Arkansas Space Grant Consortium is an investment in Arkansas' future.
