STEM Educational Initiatives

STEM PROGRAM

The purpose of this Authority program is to enrich STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics) education throughout the state of Arkansas.

New Recipients of STEM Awards

As part of the educational outreach efforts of the Arkansas EPSCoR program, STEM grants funded by the Winthrop Rockefeller Foundation, totaling $141,000, were awarded to Arkansas educators.  On March 20, 2009, the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority Board of Directors approved proposals for 8 professional development programs for middle and high school teachers, for technology and equipment for 25 classroom projects, and for a summer academy for high school students.
