The Authority Welcomes Dr. Blake Perry

The Arkansas Science & Technology Authority is pleased to announce that Dr. Blake Perry has joined the staff as the new Vice President Research.

Dr. Perry has 15 years of experience in research and developing proposals for projects dealing with domestic violence, health issues of older adults, and other areas impacting vulnerable populations. His original research as a Principle Investigator on grant-funded topics including ovarian cancer research, osteoporosis, and protein-binding assays has been published in several peer-reviewed journals and presented at national and international scientific meetings. Blake has a decade of experience as a data management specialist and seven years experience as a grants manager/resource developer.

Before joining the Authority, Dr. Perry held the position of Chief Information Officer for Community Health Centers of Arkansas, Arkansas’ Primary Care Association, where he worked on developing electronic infrastructures for exchanging information and data. Blake was a fellow in the Department of Psychiatry at UAMS where he worked in the Health Services Research Department on telemedicine initiatives. Dr. Perry is a Ph.D. in Health Sciences with a M.S. in Community Health, and a B.A. in Zoology. He graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville.
