Thursday, Oct 11, 2007

The Arkansas Science & Technology Authority believes that the economic well-being of Arkansas, its communities, and its citizens is enhanced through the wise and appropriate application of science and technology to security, health, education, government, business opportunities, agriculture, and environmental protection.

To that end, the Authority officially released the 2008 R&D Plan at its September 21st Board of Director’s Meeting. The plan details research areas and cross-cutting disciplines of strategic importance to Arkansas in 2008. They include Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Systems, Biotechnology, Bioengineering, Agriculture and Life Sciences, Information Technology, and Human Resource Development.
