Dan Curtis Join the Authority Staff As New VP Industry

Daniel Curtis has been named Vice President Industry of the Arkansas Science & Technology Authority (Authority) and will take on the directorship of Arkansas Manufacturing Solutions (AMS). AMS is an Authority program that assists the state's manufacturers in improving quality and performance.

Having spent more than 20 years leading organizations toward fundamental change in culture and business direction, Curtis will begin his duties January 22.

"Dan brings hands-on experience to support manufacturers with growth and development," said Chuck Myers, ASTA Executive Vice President. "His innovative approach and years of expertise will help guide Arkansas manufacturers to operational efficiency and success in today's increasingly competitive market."

Curtis most recently served as President and Chief Operating Officer of LITMUS, LLC, a technology development company. His prior work was with George Fischer Sloane, Inc., where he led the piping company through a period a growth and expansion.

"Arkansas has exciting economic and manufacturing growth in its future," said Curtis. "It's a great opportunity to be on the leading edge of the potential development we see in the years ahead."

Curtis has served as Chairman of the Industrial Advisory Council for the University of Arkansas at Little Rock (UALR) Cyber College and is a past member of the Arkansas Executive Summit Council. Among many accomplishments, Curtis has received the Outstanding Business Achievement Award from the Sarnia-Lmbton Chamber of Commerce and the CyberPartner Award by the Donaghey Cyber College at UALR.
